He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, and an active member of the Academy of Architecture for Health, the Environmental Design Research Association, the Center for Health Design and the American College of Healthcare Consultants. Committed to sustainability in healthcare design, Tom is a LEED-accredited design professional. As a President of the Center for Advanced Design and Research & Evaluation (CADRE), Tom frequently reports on findings at national healthcare design programs and he writes in both clinical and peer-reviewed research journals on topics associated with the improvement of our understanding of how design impacts users in the healthcare setting.
