Dina Battisto, PhD – Trustee

Dina Battisto is an Associate Professor in the Architecture + HealthProgram at Clemson University, one of only two professional degree graduate programs in the nation studying how architecture promotes health. In addition to teaching in the M.Arch Program, she leads the Built Environment + Health concentration area in the interdisciplinary Environmental Design and Planning Ph.D. program. Dr. Battisto earned a B.Arch. with honors from the University of Tennessee, an M.Arch. from Clemson University with an emphasis on healthcare design; a M.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Dr. Battisto has received numerous research grants and has published in the areas of healthcare design, therapeutic environments, green healthcare design and design for healthy aging. She is active as a speaker in national and international conferences as well as participates in organizations on topics that illuminate connections between design and research.
